Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh larutan daun Indigofera sp. terhadap kualitas fisik telur asin itik pegagan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai September 2016 bertempat di Laboratorium Nutrisi Makanan Ternak Program Studi Peternakan Universitas Sriwijaya, Indralaya. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Penelitian ini terdiri atas 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan: Po (Tanpa Menggunakan Larutan Daun Indigofera sp.); Pi (Menggunakan Larutan Daun Indigofera sp. 25%); P2 (Menggunakan Larutan Daun Indigofera sp. 50%); dan P3 (Menggunakan Larutan Daun Indigofera sp. 75%). Parameter yang diamati meliputi susut bobot telur, indeks putih telur, indeks kuning telur, dan haugh unit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan larutan daun Indigofera sp. dalam pengawetan telur asin itik Pegagan berpengaruh nyata (P<0.05) terhadap susut bobot telur, indeks putih telur dan haugh unit, tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0.05) terhadap indeks kuning telur. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan larutan daun Indigofera sp. sampai 75% dalam pengasinan dapat mempertahankan kualitas fisik telur asin itik Pegagan.
