Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembatasan jumlah pakan komersil terhadap persentase lemak abdomen dan berat organ dalam ayam broiler. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kandang percobaan, Program Study Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak. Fakultas Pertanian. Universitas Sriwijaya Sumatera Selatan. Selama 2 bulan, dari Februari sampai dengan Maret 2008. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL), dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari 100 %, 97,5%, 95 % dan 92,5% pakan komersil. Parameter yang diukur yaitu berat lemak abdomen, gizzard, hati, usus dan jantung serta panjang usus ayam broiler. Data dianalisa menggunakan analisa keragaman. Perbedaan antara perlakuan diuji dengan uji BNT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembatasan jumlah pakan komersil tidak berpengaruh terhadap (P>0,05) kadar lemak, berat gizzard, berat hati, berat usus dan berat jantung, akan tetapi berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap Panjang usus ayam broiler.
