Abstract

The focus and purpose of this study is to determine the level and state of motivation bureaucrats in Department of Population and Civil Registration Lahat Regency. The method used in this study is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique carried out was distributing questionnaires to 38 respondents who were civil servants in Department of Population and Civil Registration Lahat Regency with the Percentage Method assessment, as well as making observations and collecting secondary data. The theory used is the motivation theory proposed by Abraham Maslow about hierarchy of needs which consists of five needs, namely physiological needs, security needs, the need for togetherness, the need for respect and appreciation, self-actualization needs. Based on the results of research on mapping bureaucratic motivation Department of Population and Civil Registration Lahat Regency obtained percentage results of 61.2% where according to the score interpretation criteria, the results are included in the good category but in the minimum amount because the score obtained is the smallest score in that category.
