Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan takaran yang tepat bagi pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman okra (Abelmoscus esculentus L.) pada berbagai takaran pupuk nitrogen (N), phosfor (P) dan kalium (K). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian UNSRI, pada bulan Juni 2008 sampai Agustus 2008. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan lima perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuannya yaitu P0 = kontrol, P1 = (N, P, K 50 g) per tanaman, P2 = (Urea 5 g, SP36 10 g, KC1 5 g) per tanaman, P3 = (Urea 10 g, SP36 20 g, KC1 10 g) per tanaman, P4 = (Urea 15 g, SP36 30 g, KC1 15 g) per tanaman. Peubah yang diamati pada penelitian ini adalah tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah cabang, jumlah bunga menjadi buah, jumlah buah per tanaman, berat buah per tanaman (g), berat berangkas basah (g) dan indeks panen (%). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk N, P dan K memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata dan pupuk NPK 50 g per tanaman cenderung memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap jumlah cabang, jumlah buah per tanaman, berat buah per tanaman dan berat berangkas basah.
