Abstract

This research reviews on "The Role of Rubber Plant 's Farmers in the Bank Sampah Ceria program Managed by Padepokan Wirausaha in Kelurahan Kayu Ara Kuning Pangkalan Balai Kabupaten Banyuasin". The objective of this research is to discover the role of farmers in Bank Sampah Ceria program. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with 12 informants. Data collection techniques are by observation, interview, and documentation. This research uses Role Theory by Parson. The results shows that the role of farmers on Bank Sampah Ceria program includes the expectation from framers towards this program and vice versa. Those expectations did not come far from this program, which started with the process activity of this program, waste management system, recycled waste selling system and the wages system in Bank Sampah Ceria. The activity of rubber plant farmers gains economic and social results, also the cleanliness and orderliness of the environment. Economic results is supported with additional income; social results includes the mutual cooperation and solidarity amongst the people, cleanliness and orderliness of the environment - furthermore, the society's concern to the environment.
