Abstract
PT Ulima Nitra is a mining contractor company working on contracts at PT Mine Muara Enim, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province. The mining system being worked on is an open pit mining system (surface mining) using the open pit mining method. Slippery is a haul road that is slippery due to rain. Slippery road conditions result in the means of conveyance not being able to operate properly. The conveyance must wait until the slippery activities on the haul road are completed. The long distance of the overburden haul road (1300 meters) makes slippery handling on the overburden haul road quite long, which is 2.49 hours per each slippery handling. Slippery handling activities that take too long will increase the bottleneck time on the conveyance so that production activities will be hampered. Overburden slippery haul road handling activities are carried out using bulldozers and motor graders. Bulldozers dozing the middle of the haul road and clearing puddles. Productivity of the D85ESS Bulldozer is 317.82 m3/hour with a duration of dozing the middle of the haul road for 30.26 minutes. Motor graders maintain the entire haul road area. The productivity of the GD705 motor grader is 21,860.64 m2/hour. The duration of the motor grader to treat the entire haul road area is 70.8 minutes. The duration of sliperry handling activities based on the calculation results is 101.06 minutes and based on the Project Control report is 149.57 minutes. The duration of sliperry handling activities can be reduced from 101.06 minutes to 85.93 minutes with the duration of sliperry being reduced by 15.13 minutes for each sliperry handling. Improvements that can be made to reduce the duration of slipperry by adding 1 unit of D85ESS bulldozer in handling slipperry can reduce the duration of sliperry by 15.13 minutes.
