Abstract

Labor time is the amount of time allocated to perform a series of activities that are usually carried out inside and outside the household in units of time or hours. Leisure time is the remaining time that is still available from the time (hours or days, or months) of work that is considered normal. The objectives of this study are: (1) Calculating how much labor is devoted to Pineapple (Ananascomosus L.) farming in Menanti Village, Kelekar District, MuaraEnim Regency. (2) To identify the factors that influence the labor expenditure on pineapple farming (Ananascomosus L.) in Menanti Village, Kelekar Subdistrict, Muara Enim Regency. This research was conducted during the period of December 2022-January 2023 with 40 pineapple farmer respondents. The method used in this research is using survey method and observation method. In processing the data using the help of excel applications and SPSS version 25. The results of the study obtained are: (1) The labor force that is widely used in Menanti Village is the labor force in the family from the labor force outside the family; (2) The factors that affect labor force in pineapple farming that have a significant effect on the dependent variable are the variables of land area, while the variables of age, education level, farming experience and other farming dummies do not have a significant effect; and (3) The leisure time of the pineapple farming family devotes its labor of 278.63 HOK / ha / year.
