Abstract

Competition in finding jobs that is not balanced with the number of available jobs will trigger an increase in unemployment in Indonesia. One way to overcome unemployment in Indonesia is by entrepreneurship. In entrepreneurship, one of the important things is the interest in entrepreneurship. This study aims to prove the influence of self-efficacy on the entrepreneurial interest of students of the Economic Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University for the 2020 Academic Year. This study used causal associative research method with quantitative approach. The population in this study is students of the Economic Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University for the 2020 Academic Year. The sampling technique used is the census technique or saturated sample. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The technical data analysis used is the normality test and the linearity test. Test the hypothesis using a simple regression analysis consisting of a simple linear regression equation, correlation test, coefficient of determination and t-test. In the study obtained results t_(count ) (10.2504) ≥ t_table (1.667), then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of self-efficacy on the entrepreneurial interest of students of the Economic Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University for the 2020 Academic Year. The advice in this study is for students to have high self-efficacy because it can influence and increase interest in entrepreneurship. Keywords: Self Efficacy, Entrepreneurial Interest
