Abstract
The children's play area has a variety of games with sound speakers that can generate noise. Noise that exceeds the threshold value can affect the health of the playground workers themselves. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between noise intensity and work fatigue of children's playground workers in Palembang city malls. This type of research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional analytic study design. The sample in this study used the total sampling method, namely as many as 57 respondents. Noise measurements were measured using a tool, namely the Sound Level Meter, and measurements of work fatigue using the Feelings of Work Fatigue Measurement Questionnaire (KAUPK2). Based on measurements of noise intensity, there are 6 out of 10 locations in the children's play area at the Palembang city mall which have noise intensity exceeding the threshold value. Based on the research results, there is a relationship between noise intensity and work fatigue (p = 0.031). Other factors related to work fatigue were gender (p = 0.027), years of service (p = 0.044), duration of work (p = 0.031), and quality of sleep (p = 0.027). Another factor that is not related to work fatigue is age, because in this study the majority of workers are young. It can be concluded that noise intensity that exceeds the threshold value can affect work fatigue.
