Abstract
This study aims to examine the difference in wages and the most dominant factors determining the wages of female workers in the service sector. This study was conducted in Palembang City, with a sample of 78 respondents from a total population of 370 people. Method of data retrieval is survey method with technique of sampling proportional random sampling. Data analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis with OLS method. The results of this study are (1) Working hours are the most dominant factor determining the wages of workers. (2) Working hours and worker experiences have a positive and significant effect on wages; (3) There is a difference in wages by education (4) There is no difference in wages by type of work.
