Abstract

The population and economic development in Indonesia have led to an increased demand for electricity. This can have an impact on the distribution of power from the power plants to the electricity consumers, as the transmission distances are often long. One common issue that occurs during power distribution is voltage drop and power losses. PT. PLN (Persero) has specific standards and specifications to address these issues, which are regulated in SPLN Number 1 of 1995. PT. PLN (Persero) has set a tolerance standard for voltage drop and power losses in the medium voltage distribution network, stating that it should not exceed 5% and should not be less than 10%. Recognizing the importance of calculating voltage drop and power losses, this study aims to calculate and analyze the voltage drop and power losses in the Dosen Feeder at the Martapura Main Substation, OKU which has a total conductor length of 63.11 km.. Based on the calculation results, the voltage drop value is determined to be 669,6146 V with a percentage value of 3.7%. Meanwhile, the power losses are calculated to be 59.572,74 watts with a percentage value of 1.8%. According to these results, the voltage drop and power losses for the Dosen Feeder are still within the tolerance limits as specified by the PT. PLN (Persero) SPLN 1:1995 standard, which states that it should not exceed 5%. Keywords: Distribution system, Power losses, Drop voltage
