Abstract
Geopolymer concrete is the latest innovative concrete that is environmentally friendly and has many advantages. Geopolymer concrete can replace ordinary portland cement with industrial waste products so that this concrete can reduce air pollution. Concrete material is inseparable from construction. One of the constructions made of concrete is high beams. On high beams, shear can occur which causes high beams to experience structural failure before reaching the carrying capacity of the moment. The high beams used in this study used geopolymer concrete. This study aims to analyze the shear behavior of high beams of geopolymer concrete against monotonic loads. The analysis is carried out with the ANSYS program which works with the finite element method. The results of ANSYS analysis are load-deflection curves to determine melting point, ductility, dissipation energy, stress contours, displacement contours, structural stiffness and shear influences. Comparison of ANSYS analysis results with experimental with a difference of 0.062%. In GC1 type geopolymer concrete material with a 50mm reinforcement space variation has the smallest deflection among the types of concrete geopolymer with other reinforcement spacing variations. The denser the variation in shear reinforcement spacing, the smaller the deflection on the beam and the stronger the beam resists the shear that occurs.
