Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy and demographic factors on investment decisions. The research population is the total population in the city of Palembang. The sample was determined using purposive sampling of 100 respondents. The data used is primary by using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire either directly or online questionnaire via Google questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive statistical analysis, multiple regression analysis, instrument testing, classical assumption testing and hypothesis testing with the help of SPSS version 22 software. The results show that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on investment decisions, and demographic factors negative and significant effect on investment decisions.
