Abstract

Blood meal is the result of livestock waste processing which can be used as an alternative feed source of protein. The presence of a high protein content in blood meal can have an impact on livestock performance. Futhemore, limited information regarding fermented adsorption blood meal used in goat rations by in vivo method on this issue is important to study. This research was conducted in August-November 2022 for 14 weeks and took place in the Experimental Stables of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment given was in the form of a ration with the following details: P0 = 0% FATD (Fermentation of Blood Meal Adsorption), P1 = 25% FATD (Fermentation of Adsorption of Blood Meal), P2 = 50% FATD (Fermentation of Adsorption of Blood Meal). Based on the observations, it was concluded that the treatment of adsorption blood meal fermented by Lactobacillus plantarum bacteria with 25% treatment on the rations given showed an effect on the value of Body Weight Gain (BWG) and feed efficiency. The body weight gain value was 287 gr/head/week and the feed efficiency of adsorbent blood meal fermented by Lactobacillus plantarum bacteria was 13.80%.
