Abstract

Herbal suplementation on feed is the combination that used to fix absorbing process at the intestine and function of internal body organ. Suplementation can be effected to the weight gain of digestive tract and internal body organ. The aims of this research to study the effect of herbal suplementation on digestive tract and body internal organ of 64 pegagan duck number and 7 days old from Kotadaro Village, Tanjung Raja District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatera Province. Ginger, Onion and Papaya leaveswere clean, cut, dried and drilled with blander. This reseacrh used completely random design (RAL) with four treatments and four replication. The treatment consists of : P0 (Comercial ration as control), P1 ( Comercial ration + 1% Hebal suplementation), P2 (Commercial ration + 3% herbal suplementation), P3 ( Commercial ration + 5% herbal suplementation). The observed variable were lenght and weight of small intestine, Lenght and Weight of large intestine, Weight of internal body organ. The result showed that herbal suplementation were not significanly effect (P>0,05) on the digestive tract and internal body organ of pegagan duck. The Conclusion ofthis research that herbal suplementation can not increased the lenght and weight of digestive tract and the weight of internal body organ of pegagan duck.
