Abstract

This research discuss about competitive analysis of tidal dent corn (Zea mays indentata) in Telangsari Village Tanjung Lago Subdistrict Banyuasin Regency. The purposes of this research are to: 1) analyze comparative advantage, 2) analyze competitive advantage, 3) analyze the impact of goverment policies. This research used PAM (Policy Analysis Matrix) with 32 of 500 tidal dent corn farmer to analyze the comparative and competitive advantages and the impact of goverment policies. The results showed that: 1) The tidal dent corn farming in Telangsari Village of Tanjung Lago Subdistrict Banyuasin Regency has Comparative Advantage seen from the value indicators of DRCR 0,23 (<1) and SP IDR 35.002.440 so it is feasible and profitable to be pursued, 2) The tidal dent corn farming in Telangsari Village of Tanjung Lago Subdistrict Banyuasin Regency has Competitive Advantage seen from the value indicators of PCR 0,20 (<1) and PP IDR 33.491.210 so it is feasible and profitable to be pursued, 3) Impact on Government Policy Input-Output overall has no positive impact on the development of tidal dent corn farm in Telangsari Village Tanjung Lago Subdistrict Banyuasin Regency seen from the value indicators of EPC 0,92 (<1), NT -1.511.229 (<1), PC 0,96 (<1) and SRP -0,03(<1).
