Abstract

Nurses have a very important role in providing a service to patients and have high demands in their work. The number of these demands causes employees to experience burnout, thus affecting the performance of nurses. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect that burnout contributed to the performance of nurses at Kayuagung Hospital. Therefore, the method used in this study is a quantitative method. Data were obtained through interviews and questionnaires, with a total sample of 49 nurses. The results achieved from the research conducted stated that there was a negative and significant effect of burnout on the performance of nurses at the Kayuagung Hospital.
