Abstract

Gastropods are food derived from waters that contain many antioxidant components, such as Nerita balteata and Cassidula aurisfelis. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of antioxidant activity with DPPH method and phytochemical content and analyze active compounds with GC-MS. This research was conducted from January 2023 to April 2023. The results showed that the extracts of N. balteata Tanjung Api-Api (37.188 μg/mL) and C. aurisfelis Sembilang National Park (33.301 μg/mL) had stronger antioxidant activity than N. balteata Sembilang National Park (40.011 μg/mL) and C. aurisfelis Tanjung Api-Api (38.984 μg/mL). Phytochemical screening of N. balteata Tanjung Api-Api and C. aurisfelis Sembilang National Park showed positive results containing alkaloids, triterpenoids and saponins. GC-MS identification results of N. balteata Tanjung Api-Api showed the presence of alkaloid compounds, namely 2-Piperidinone and Dasycarpidan-1-methanol acetate (ester). triterpenoids are Cyclopentanemethanol 1-amino and Geranyl isovalerate, and steroids are Campesterol and Cholesterol. In the extract of C. aurisfelis Sembilang National Park, steroids were detected, namely Ethyl iso-allocholate and Cholesterol.
