Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Discovery Learning berbantuan video animasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI pada materi sistem pencernaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design dan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu tes tertulis pilihan ganda (pretest & posttest), lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan angket respon peserta didik. Data hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis dianalisis dengan uji Independent sample t-test pada program SPSS versi 26.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Discovery Learning berbantuan video animasi meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan nilai gain 41,43 dan n gain 0,64 kategori sedang. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima.sehingga menunjukkan bahwa model Discovery Learning berbantuan video animasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI pada materi sistem pencernaan di SMA Negeri 1 Lahat. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran termasuk kategori sangat baik. Respon peserta didik termasuk kategori sangat baik dan baik.
