Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi dan sikap siswa SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya tentang energi. Dalam penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif ini, data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan 17 butir pernyatan dengan kuesioner berbentuk skala likert. Subjek penelitian adalah 58 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pandangan dan sikap siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya terhadap energi dikategorikan tinggi atau baik. Namun, dalam hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsistensi jawaban dari siswa masih lemah sementara kualitas butir-butir item dalam instrumen bagus. Lemahnya konsistensi jawaban dari persepsi dan sikap siswa mengenai energi disebabkan dengan adanya pola respon yang tidak sesuai dengan ekspektasi model. Sehingga beberapa dari siswa tersebut tidak cermat atau kurang teliti yang mana butir item yang mudah atau sulit bisa dikerjakan dengan benar.
