Abstract

Concrete is one of the most common elements of structural construction because the manufacturing process is easier and more economical. Flat slab is a two-way concrete construction (two-way slab with drops) which only has horizontal elements in the form of plates without beams and is supported by columns. A flat slab structure with openings adjacent to columns is a natural thing because it functions as a piping installation path. Self compacting concrete technology is a concrete technology that can compact itself so as to reduce segregation. The flat slab structure used in this study uses self-compacting concrete material. The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance of flat slab self compacting concrete with variations in openings against monotonic loads and to determine the effect of variations in openings on the strength of the structure. Modeling and loading of flat slab structures is carried out using the ANSYS program using the finite element method. The results of the analysis are load-deflection graphs, ductility, stress contours, deflection contours, stiffness, energy dissipation in flat slab structures. The results of the difference in the deflection value between the experimental test and the ANSYS program were 1.129% for NC-1 type, 6.081% for NC-3 type, 9.555% for NC-4 type. The use of self-compacting concrete material in the flat slab structure increases the shear resistance better in the flat slab structure. The use of openings with a small number and dimensions of openings and the position of the openings on the longer side of the column will provide better shear resistance in flat slab structures.
