Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the way students learn male and female students of class VIII in SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya. This research is a quantitative research by using survey method. Instrument for collecting data was Likert scale. The total population in this study amounted to 252 students. Sampling technique used simple random sampling and obtained 72 respondents consisting of 36 male students and 36 female students from grade VIII. In general, the results of the study showed that 58% of female students studied were included in high category scores, and 64% of male students were included in medium category scores. Based on each aspect studied, on the aspect of making the schedule and its implementation there are 61% female students included in high category score and 56% of male students included in medium category score, reading aspect and make note there are 58% female student in category score high and 61% of male students in medium category score, repeat aspect of learning materials there are 8% female students in high category score and 64% female students are in medium category score ,, concentration aspect there are 69% female student is in high category and 31% of male students are in medium category score and work aspect aspect is 28% female student with high category score and 64% female student is in medium category score. Based on the data in the analysis can be concluded that the way of learning female students is better than male
