Abstract
In this research, a tool for blind people designed using an ultrasonic sensor and accelerometer MPU6050 used Arduino Nano as the control center, ultrasonic is used as a distance meter, and the MPU6050 accelerometer sensor used as an angle meter. The experimental result show that this tool has worked well. The ultrasonic sensor can measure distance ranging from 30cm to 1500cm while the MPU6050 accelerometer sensor can detect from 15º to 90º. This system can detect objects at an angle of 45º when proximity sensor detects at 25 to 50cm, at an angle of 90º objects are detected at a distance of 30 to 150cm, the system detects a hole when directed at an angle of 15º when the distance is detected at 120 to 1500cm.
