Abstract

This research focuses on knowing the process and form of socio-economic changes of mining workers due to coal mining activities in Lunas Jaya Village. This industrialization process can be the main driver of economic growth and expansion of employment opportunities in society. The purpose of this study was to determine the process and form of socio-economic changes of mining workers in Lunas Jaya village due to coal mining activities. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the research strategy used phenomenology. This research uses Selo Soemarjan's theory of social change. The results showed that there were changes in the socio-economic conditions of mining workers after the existence of coal mining activities, ranging from education, environment, health, conflict, income level, welfare type of work.
