Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk kesalahan penggunaan huruf kapital pada surat undangan yang ditulis oleh peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 02 Indralaya Utara Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif kualitatif. subjek pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VA SD Negeri 02 Indralaya Utara. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dokumentasi menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat kesalahan dalam penggunaan huruf kapital pada kelas VA yaitu kesalahan penggunaan huruf kapital di awal kalimat yang berjumlah 64 kesalahan dengan indeks 2,1 termasuk dalam kategori sering. Dan hasil dokumentasi menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat kesalahan dalam penggunaan tanda baca pada kelas VA kesalahan penggunaan tanda garis miring (/) yang berjumlah 19 kesalahan dengan indeks 0,6 termasuk dalam kategori sering. Kata Kunci : Penggunaan Huruf Kapital dan Tanda Baca
