Abstract

This research examines "Women Empowerment Through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of PT PLN (Persero) UID S2JB, Pedamaran District, Ogan Komereng Ilir Regency (OKI) in 2023". This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The concept used in this research is from Ayub M. Padangaran's empowerment process (2011). The results of this study consist of 1) The awareness stage, in building awareness of women's groups that this is a potential that can be developed to achieve a better life, open business opportunities and can create quality human resources. 2) Capacity building stage, focusing on the process of women's groups in developing local crafts of purun mats through ideas, creativity and craft innovation, so that these three things are used by women's groups to achieve self-sufficiency. 3) Empowerment stage, providing opportunities and the widest possible opportunities for women's groups to be able to develop handicrafts according to their abilities in a sustainable manner, because this activity can increase creativity in producing purun and is able to stimulate women's groups to move to take advantage of opportunities that exist for achieve independence.
