Abstract
This study aims to determine whether there is an increase in children's emotional intelligence (5-6) years at Insan Mandiri Cendikia Kindergarten Palembang through the project method. This research uses a type of class action research. The instruments used to make the observation sheet are confident, work together, communicate well, and have a sense of empathy. It is proven that the first cycle is higher than the pre-cycle where the average percentage of children's emotional intelligence is as many as 11 children (79%) whose emotional intelligence is starting to develop (MB) 3 children (21%) are developing as expected (BSH), and not yet. there are children with very well-developed criteria (BSB). It is proven that cycle II is higher than cycle I, where the average percentage of emotional intelligence is 10 children (71%) developing as expected (BSH), and 4 children (29%) developing very well (BSB). So it can be obtained that project method learning can improve children's emotional intelligence (5-6) years at Insan Mandiri Cendikia Palembang Kindergarten.
