Abstract

This research aims to produce a development product in the form of a learning media using Construct 2 on the expotition text material of 10th-grade students at MAN 1 Ogan Ilir. The type of research conducted is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall model combined with Allesi and Trollip. The learning media using Construct 2 for expository text material was developed based on the analysis of needs and interviews with students and teachers. According to the needs analysis, the Construct 2 learning media product is required for teaching expository texts. The next steps involve planning, including developing the initial concept of the product, creating flowcharts and storyboards, and preparing the media script. Subsequently, the development of the initial form of the product is carried out, followed by expert validation and product revision. The expert validation consists of media experts, subject matter experts, and language experts. The results of the media expert validation obtained a score of 50 with a maximum score of 55, which was converted to 90.90%. The subject matter expert validation obtained a score of 42 with a maximum score of 55, which was converted to 76.36%. The language expert validation obtained a score of 53 with a maximum score of 55, which was converted to 96.36%. Based on the results of the expert validation, the Construct 2 learning media for expository text material for 10th-grade students at MAN 1 Ogan Ilir is categorized as valid for material suitability and highly valid for media and language suitability.
