Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the form of problems in the Al-Mitra PAUD Unit, Meranjat II Village, Indralaya Selatan. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research type. The data in this study were obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. There were 8 research subjects consisting of administrators, educators, village government, parents of students and community leaders. The results showed that the learning problems of Al-Mitra PAUD came from internal (inside) and external (outside). Internal problems (1) learning that is not optimal because educators experience problems in compiling learning tools, (2) competence and qualifications of educators and education staff are lacking, (3) the need for encouragement for students who still have spoiled traits so that the potential that exists in them can develop, and (4) inadequate facilities and infrastructure because they are gradually no longer suitable for use. Furthermore, external problems are (1) good communication between parents of students and educators can help optimize children's development, (2) there is still low awareness and community participation in helping develop PAUD, (3) there is no policy that regulates the necessity of attending school in the village's own PAUD , and (4) the lack of available funds causing PAUD to develop slowly. The most dominant internal problems are educators and educational staff, and infrastructure. This is evidenced by the low enthusiasm and interest of the community so that they prefer other schools. Then the dominant external problems are the community and village government. This is evidenced by the lack of socialization, attention and strict policies of the village government, causing low participation and awareness of the community in assisting the development of PAUD Al-Mitra.
