Abstract

Non-communicable disease which is one of the main causes of premature death in the world is hypertension. The prevalence rate of hypertension in the world is 26.4% or around 972 million people and will continue to increase to 29.2% in 2025. In OKU Selatan Regency itself in 2021 the number of hypertension is 69,193 cases. This study aims to analyze the relationship between coffee drinking habits, consumption of salt and used cooking oil on the incidence of hypertension. And the habit of drinking coffee is the most influential variable in this study p-value (0.000) (PR 95% CI = 18.841). In conclusion, drinking habits, salt consumption and used cooking oil consumption have proven to be related to the incidence of hypertension. The habit of drinking coffee is the most dominant variable affecting hypertension.
