Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of knowledge management through the processes of knowledge socialization, externalization, combination, and internalization on intellectual capital in the Commercial Risk Group of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. The study used the Knowledge-based Theory on the Firm. The population in this study was 96 employees in the Commercial Risk Group of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, distributed using total sampling method. The results obtained are knowledge socialization have a significant positive effect on intellectual capital, knowledge externalization have a significant positive effect on intellectual capital, and knowledge internalization have a significant positive effect on intellectual capital in the Commercial Risk Group of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. However, there was no significant effect of knowledge combination on intellectual capital in PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. For future researchers, it is suggested to include additional variables such as company profitability, company performance, research and development, organizational culture, employee empowerment, and others in their studies.
