Abstract

The railway system is a motorized rail transportation system that operates independently or in conjunction with other railway systems. The Train Traffic Controller (PPKA) has an important role in coordinating train departures, arrivals, stops, and related control aspects. However, the manual and conventional technology used at Track Guard Posts (PJL) requires significant time and human resources, raising concerns about safety and efficiency. The aim of this research is to develop a prototype monitoring system for train arrival detection at the track guard post (PJL) using a web-based REST API in the Codeigniter 4 framework. Based on the research findings from this project, the monitoring system performs well, with 957 data points for the vibration sensor and 955 data points for the gyro sensor in the X, Y, and Z axes, respectively. Furthermore, the validation of data in the developed REST API shows that the average response time is 489.4 ms for the vibration sensor to obtain integer data and 579.5 ms for the gyro sensor to obtain decimal data.
