Abstract

Whey protein is considered important as a supplement to help fulfill nutrition, but the number of whey protein products makes it difficult for users to choose the product that suits their needs. This study aims to build a Decision Support System (DSS) to choose the right whey protein product. In this study, the Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) method was implemented to calculate the weight of the criteria and sub-criteria, then utility calculations and final value calculations were carried out to produce a ranking of recommended whey protein products. The criteria used are price, protein, calories, sugar, cholesterol, sodium, carbohydrates. Tests in this study used the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) for the usefulness aspect of 100 respondents. From the test it shows a value of 0.97 which means that the Decision Support System (DSS) built is considered very useful by users.
