Abstract

This study aims to develop traditional food leaflets and to determine the validity and practicality of leaflets as a medium for promoting traditional food in the village of Tanjung Sejaro. This research is a development research using the Borg and Gall method in which there are 10 steps of development research which are simplified into 6 steps. There are 6 stages in this study, namely needs analysis or identification of subject needs, product development, expert validation, product trials, product revisions, and the final product. Data collection techniques used in this study, namely questionnaires and documentation. Implementation or testing of leafleat products was carried out in three ways, namely one-to-one trials with 3 UMKM subjects, small groups with 9 UMKM groups, and consumer trials with 10 people using a purposive sampling method. The results of this study are that the development of traditional food leaflets is carried out by analyzing needs and developing products, then the promotional media for traditional food leaflets has a level of validity on the three assessments carried out by experts, namely the media aspect with a percentage of 87%, the language aspect with a percentage of 95%, and material aspects with a percentage of 90%. The average value of the validation results with 3 experts is 90.6% with a very decent category. Then the level of practicality based on the results of one to one trials is 90%, small group trials are 85%, and consumer trials are 87%. Based on the results of the validation and trial it can be concluded that the leaflet is declared valid and practical based on the results of expert validation and trials with the category very feasible to be used as a medium for promoting traditional food in Tanjung Sejaro Village, Ogan Ilir Regency.
