Abstract
According to the Global Nutrition report, about 45% of deaths in children under five in the world are related to undernutrition and about 17 million children under five are severely underweight and 52 million children under five are underweight. Supplementary Feeding (PMT), especially for vulnerable groups, is a supplementation strategy in overcoming nutritional problems. Puskesmas Satelit is the lowest PMT-P achievement in Bandarlampung City and only succeeded in collecting data on toddlers who received PMT-P of 12.59%. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the PMT-P program for children under five at the Satelit Health Center in Bandarlampung City. The analysis of the PMT-P program in this study is seen from the analysis of inputs, processes, and outputs of program implementation. This type of research is qualitative using a descriptive approach conducted in October 2020 with informants, namely Kasie Kesga and Gizi, Head of Puskesmas, Nutrition Personnel, Coordinating Midwives, Posyandu Cadres, and Toddler Mothers. The results of this study are in the input component, puskesmas facilities, namely special PMT-P storage rooms, are inadequate. Process component, there are problems in implementation, namely delays in collecting data from health center and delays in distribution from the center. The output component has not been achieved and delays in distribution from the center and delays in reporting from the health center about the number of PMT-P packages needed by toddlers. The Recovery Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT-P) in the working area of the Satelit Health Center runs in accordance with the Technical Guidelines of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, but there are still obstacles in several aspects such as storage places, delays in collecting toddler data collection and delays in distributing PMT-P from the PMT-P program implementation center as an effort by the government to improve the nutritional status of toddlers. Efforts to improve handling that can be done through: 1) Improving the quality of storage space; 2) Increased cooperation among health workers in data collection; 3) Increased public understanding of the importance of good nutritional status; 4) Sample selection is adjusted to the criteria for giving PMT-P.
