Abstract

The lack of knowledge of pregnant women about pregnancy care is one of the causes of high maternal mortality and low antenatal visits. Rapid technological developments can be used to facilitate and improve the knowledge of pregnant women about pregnancy care with android-based mobile applications that have been widely used by the public and efficient in their use as an option. This research aims to produce a prototype of The “Tips Hamil Sehat” application as a guide in performing pregnancy care. The research design is used a Research and Development (R&D) quantitative approach with an ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation) development method. The samples in this research were amounted to 22 respondents selected through a probability sampling method with a cluster sampling technique. Data were obtained using the USE (Usefulness, Satisfaction, and Ease of Use) questionnaire with a total of 30 questions given to respondents after operating the application prototype. The results of the research obtained an application prototype that is well described and illustrated, the operational function using blackbox testing obtained a prototype that works and runs well as expected by the researcher, and usability testing gets an average score of 85%,which means it is acceptable and useful as a guide in pregnancy care by users with a very good predicate. The average scores on the USE questionnaire obtained a usefulness or benefit value of 83%, ease of use 83%, ease of learning 84%, and 89% satisfaction. This application prototype is able to help pregnant women get information about pregnancy care efficiently and effectively as well as simple use and ease to learn.
