Abstract
This research aims to determine the effectiveness of a tool that can control the amount of hydroponic plant nutrient solution automatically based on Arduino UNO R3. The study was conducted at the Plant House of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sriwijaya. The research was carried out from October 2022 to September 2022 until completion. The method used in the study is quantitative descriptive by conducting performance testing on the automatic hydroponic nutrient control tool based on parameters such as accuracy, error percentage, and precision. The conclusion of the automatic nutrient control tool in the second week averaged 554 ppm per week and in the third week obtained a value of 657 ppm, the accuracy level of the automatic nutrient control tool in the second week had an average value of 89% and in the third week had an average value of 91%, the precision level of the automatic nutrient control tool in the second week had an average value of 13.58% on the third day, and in the third week had an average value of 7.81%, the error percentage results for the tool with measurements in the second week had an average value of 11%, and in the third week had an average value of 9.7% the researchers suggest that the placement of the tool with the hydroponic tank should be considered, the length of the nutrient hose should be adjusted to the needs, and the programming of the Arduino UNO R3 should be improved to ensure that nutrient delivery to the holding water is more accurate and not excessive.
