Abstract
The change of morphology of the river, is one of river deformation. In the watershed, river flow will cause deformation due to the widening of the channel, sedimentation, scour and silting. This study was aimed to compare the magnitude of changes in the shape due to variety of flows. The research was done by construction channel hydraulic models with geometric Dawas river, has a trapezoidal shape with a first bend angle of 90°. Channel was divided into 5 segments in the upstream straight section, the initial bend, bend apex, the final bend and in the downstream straight section. Measurements were performed for different discharge and time that Q1 = 38.34 liters/minute with a drainage time 1 Hour, 2 Hours and 3 Hours, Q2 = 49.89 Liters/minute with a drainage time 1 Hour, 2.5 Hour and 3,5 Hours and Q3 = 63.32 liters/minute with a drainage time 1 Hour, 2.5 Hour and 4 Hours. The result showed that the longer the flow and the greater the discharge stream the channel would be greater. Maximum change of width and depth occured at the upstream straight section when the discharge Q3, the width of channel change from initially 10 cm to 23,45 cm where the maximum agradating occured at the outer point of the river meander change from initially 10 cm to 8,25 cm.
