Abstract

Introduction: Lung cancer is a malignant tumor of the primary lower respiratory system which is epithelial and originates from the mucosa of the bronchial tree. One of the signs of lung cancer is chest pain, which is caused by infiltration or metastasis into soft tissue or bone. The wetting intervention that can be given to patients to reduce pain is Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy. The aim of this scientific work is to apply nursing care to lung cancer patients to carry out pain management using SEFT therapy to treat pain in accordance with evidence-based. Method: Using a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach carried out on three lung cancer patients, the SEFT therapy intervention was given three times every day for three days at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin, Palembang. Results: The results of nursing care showed that five problems were partially resolved, one problem was not resolved and after intervention for 10-15 minutes with flexible time every day for three days, the results of the summative evaluation showed that the pain in the three patients had decreased, indicated by the patient saying there was a decrease in the pain scale. Conclusion: Nursing care was provided for three days and SEFT therapy had an effect on reducing the pain scale in three lung cancer patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang.
