Abstract

PT. Pupuk Sriwijaya is one of the suppliers of fertilizer factories in Indonesia. The factory is building a new power plant that is Steam Turbine Generator (STG) and Coal Boiler for old plants is not enough to supply electricity to the new factory. In a power plant project, one of the most important components is the foundation of the machine. The foundation of the machine is one kind of foundation that supports the engine and is affected by vibration and is designed as a foundation that can accept a static load the machine in the form of a dead weight machines and dynamic loads in the form of gestures. The purpose of this study was to plan the foundation of the machine that is safe and meets the criteria for induced draft fan engine. In determining the foundation dimensions of the machine is done by trial and error method. There are 5 types of foundation ffame that is calculated in this study, namely Type 1 (pilecap: 14mx7mx2m; column: l,5mxl,5mx3m; slab: 14mx7mxlm), type 2 (pilecap: 15mx7mxl,7m; column: l,2mxlmx3m; slab: 15mx7mxlm ), type 3 (pilecap: 14mx6,8mxlm; column: lmxlmx3m; slab: 14mx6,8mx0,8m), type 4 (pilecap: 13,8mx6,9mxl,5m; column: lmxlmx3,5m; slab: 13,8mx6,9mx0,8m) and type 5 (pilecap: 13,6mx6,6mx0,5m; column: 0,7mx0,7mx3m; slab: 13.6 mx 6.6 mx 0.5 m). Because the carrying capacity of the land is not secure, it must be coupled pile. From the analysis, pile type 5 has the smallest dimensions and most effective. Based on the calculation of the carrying capacity of the permission (Qall) method Qall obtained a = 47.359 tons / pole. The number of piles used as many as 10 pieces with a depth of 24 m and 2.5 m distance between poles. Efficiency pole (Ef) of 0.869 and a huge carrying capacity of pile groups (Qg) = 411.549 tons. Foundation dynamic analysis engine type 5 is obtained in Az total = 0.000017 (zone not noticeable to person), Ax in total = 0.000018 (zone A, no faults typical new equiptment) while for vibration velocity in both directions is 0,000069in/sec entered in the zone very smooth.
