Abstract

Physical endurance is a person’s body resistance to carry out daily work without fatigue. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect physical endurance in Covid-19 survivors in Rejang Lebong Regency. This research is a quantitative study using a cross sectional study design. The sample in this study were 163 Covid-19 survivors who had been treated in health facilities that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data used are primary data obtained from direct interviews and questionnaires, and also used secondary data. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed by univariates, bivariate and multivariate. The results of the analysis showed that out of 163 respondents, 110 respondents (67,5%) had good physical endurance and 53 respondents (32,5%) had poor physical endurance. Variables related to the physical endurance of Covid-19 survivors were nutritional status (P=0,002), gender (P=0,001), vaccination status (P=0,033), history of hypertension (P=0,010), history of diabetes mellitus (P=0,043), and age (P=0,000). The unrelated variable is employment status (P=0,140). Then the dominant variable influencing the physical endurance of Covid-19 survivors is age with (P value 0,000; PR = 38.522 with CI 95% (7,672-193,426). It can be concluded that age affects the physical endurance of Covid-19 survivors, therefore nutrition status is needed that is balanced with age so that physical endurance can be maintained.
