Abstract

Background: Mental disorders are a manifestation of a form of behavioral deviation, this occurs due to a decline in all mental functions. One of the mental disorders that is commonly found is the risk of violent behavior. The risk of violent behavior can be controlled with several implementation strategies, including classical music therapy. Purpose: This writing aims to describe nursing care and the application of classical music therapy to patients at risk of violent behavior at the Dr. Mental Hospital. Ernaldi Bahar Palembang. Method: Writing this scientific work uses a qualitative descriptive method in the form of a case study. Resulst: There were four nursing problems in the three patients managed, consisting of one main problem, namely the risk of violent behavior. The intervention provided is in the form of strategies for implementing the risk of violent behavior and classical music therapy. After being given nursing intervention, it was found that there was a reduction in signs and symptoms of risk of violent behavior in the three patients. Conclution: The three managed patients were given nursing care consisting of assessment, establishing a nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. The nursing implications of classical music therapy show that there is a reduction in signs and symptoms of risk of violent behavior in managed patients.
