Abstract
Stunting is a nutritional problem that needs attention because it cannot be resolved completely around the world. Stunting itself is a nutritional problem that is not only caused by factors that affect directly such as lack of nutritional intake and infect ious diseases, but stunting can also be indirectly influenced by family food security, parenting and family diet, environmental health and health services. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct spatial research to pay attention to risk factors in order to find out which factors cause stunting in Musi Rawas Regency. The purpose of this study was to describe the distribution of stunting incidence based on risk factors in Musi Rawas Regency using an area mapping approach. This type of research includes descriptive research with an ecological study design. The population studied was toddlers who were stunted in 19 health centers in Musi Rawas Regency. This study used secondary data from E-PPGBM by the South Sumatra Provincial Health Office and PK21 data by BKKBN South Sumatra Province. The analysis process used spatial analysis and statistical analysis using QGIS and SPSS. Problems that still exist in the puskesmas working area with a stunting prevalence of 10% - <20% in the moderate category, namely, the percentage of pregnant women with chronic energy deficiency at the Nawangsasi Puskesmas has not reached the target, there are still stunted toddlers whose basic immunization is incomplete, there are still families who have latrines without septic tanks, an d a relatively high family smoking history. It is necessary to socialize understanding of the relationship between smoking behavior and the incidence of stunting in all Puskesmas work areas in Musi Rawas Regency.
