Abstract

In the use of medical devices in hospitals that have been used and will be reused, they must go through a sterilization process that is useful for keeping medical devices in sterile conditions. Sterile is a condition of absolute freedom from living microorganisms, not partially or almost sterile. Sterility is a trait or characteristic required for pharmaceutical preparations that are free of living microorganisms due to their method, container, or route of administration to some extent. At present, there are several sterilization machine innovations that have been made, but it is still necessary to calculate the performance efficiency of the medical device sterilizer. Performance efficiency itself is a calculation between expected results and actual results. The portable medical device sterilizer has produced an input voltage of 13.6 Volts for the highest input voltage on the first attempt and an output voltage of 12.5 Volts on the first try. The efficiency value of portable medical device sterilization machines is 98.25%, 95.03%, 91.38%, and 83.97%. The greatest engine efficiency value was in the first experiment with an efficiency value of 98.25% and the smallest efficiency value was in the fourth experiment with an efficiency value of 83.97%. The efficiency of portable medical device sterilizers is influenced by the input output power of existing sterile machines.
