Abstract

This research aims to develop learning video media based on a contextual teaching and learning model on the material of classifying animals based on their food for class IV at SDN 11 Pemulutan and also aims to determine the validity and practicality of this media. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 3D + I model consisting of Define, Design, Development and Implementation. This research validated the material and media and carried out trials on 18 class IV students. The results of the validation assessment from media experts obtained a percentage value of 94.28% which was categorized as very valid. The results of the validation assessment from material experts obtained a percentage value of 93% which was categorized as very valid. Field trials, the results of students' assessment of the media obtained a percentage score of 97% which was categorized as very effective. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that learning video media is appropriate or valid and effective for use in the learning process.
