Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat Status glukosa dan urea darah Sapi Bali periode akhir kebuntingan hingga laktasi dengan pemberian Urea Molases (Umos). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kandang Percobaan dan Laboratorium Program Studi Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya, menggunakan 3 ekor Sapi Bali bunting akhir. Perlakuan yang diberikan dengan menggunakan pakan basal menggunakan 2 perlakuan, yaitu pemberian pakan basal tanpa penambahan UMOS dan pemberian pakan basal dengan tambahan UMOS. Peubah yang diamati: Nilai glukosa dan urea darah. Rancangan yang digunakan diolah dengan Uji-T berpasanga (Paired T-Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa status glukosa darah antara sebelum dan setelah pemberian berpengaruh nyata dengan nilai rataan 70,18 (mg/dl) sebelum perlakuan dan setelah perlakuan 65,97 (mg/dl). Namun, pada status urea darah tidak menunjukan pengaruh nyata dengan nilai rataan 48.02 (mg/dl) sebelum perlakuan dan 52.74 (mg/dl) setelah perlakuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengaruh pemberian UMOS sebagai campuran ransum basal berpengaruh terhadap nilai glukosa darah dan tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai urea darah Sapi Bali bunting akhir, akan tetapi nilai glukosa dan urea darah masih dalam kisaran normal. Kata Kunci : Glukosa darah, Sapi Bali, UMOS, Urea Darah This study was to determine glucose and blood urea status of periparturient bali cow with supplementation urea molases (UMOS). This research was carried out at the experimental station and the laboratory of animal husbandry study program, faculty of agriculture, sriwijaya university, using the last 3 balinese cows. The treatment used was basal feed 2 treatments which on the basal feeding without the addition of UMOS and basal feeding with additional UMOS. Variables was observed: Glucose and blood urea values. The design used was treated with a paired T-Test. The results showed that blood glucose status between before and after treatment had a significant effect with an average value of 70.18 (mg / dl) before treatment and after treatment 65.97 (mg / dl). However, blood urea status showed no significant effect with an average value of 48.02 (mg / dl) before treatment and 52.74 (mg / dl) after treatment. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the effect of giving UMOS as a mixture of basal rations had an effect on blood glucose values and did not affect urea values on the cows, but glucose and urea blood values were on the normal range.
