Abstract

Guest visits in various government agencies are a common activity. The Health Office of South Sumatra Province also experiences the same thing, where these visits involve various activities such as meetings, hearings, consultations, reporting, and so on. However, with the high frequency of guest visits, various challenges arise, such as employees not being able to determine the schedule of visits and guests who cannot predict the level of crowds making it difficult to get a parking space. Some hospitals, such as RSIA Hermina Palembang and Hospital Muhammadiyah Palembang, have implemented guest visit management systems. These systems focus on facilitating patient registration and outpatient administration to avoid queuing. However, the difference in problems between the South Sumatra Provincial Health Office and RSIA Hermina and RS Muhammadiyah Palembang is the focus on proper scheduling of employees and avoiding the accumulation of parking lots for guests. The appropriate method to overcome this problem is to apply the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, which consists of three stages, namely Requirment Planning, Design, and Implementation. This method involves data collection and analysis which includes literature studies, observations, interviews, and filling out questionnaires before designing the system. By using this methodology, it will produce a system that can provide information about the right guest appointment schedule and avoid the accumulation of parking lots by limiting the number of guests who come at the same time.
