Abstract

This purpose of this research was to determine the effect use indigofera leaves on Kumpai tembaga silage to crude protein, crude fiber and crude fat content. This research was conducted from August to October 2023 in the Animal Feed Nutrition Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This research was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications. Each treatment is A0=100% Kumpai tembaga without the addition of indigofera leaves, A1=Addition of 10% indigofera leaves from kumpai tembaga, A2=Addition of 20% indigofera leaves from kumpai tembaga, A3=Addition of 30% indigofera leaves from grass Kumpai tembaga. The parameters observed were Crude Protein, Crude Fiber and Crude Fat. The results showed that the use of indigofera leaves in Kumpai tembaga silage had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the content of crude protein, crude fiber and crude fat. The conclusion of this research is that the A3 treatment with a composition of 70% kumpai tembaga + 30% indigofera leaves produces the best silage quality compared to other treatments, because it produces 21.17% crude protein, 25.18% crude fiber and 4.65% crude fat.
