Abstract

Increased temperature in the cage can usually affect the physiological response of goats. This study aims to determine the effect of increasing cage temperature on blood glucose and urea levels in Peanut and Peranakan Ettawa goats. This research was conducted from December 18, 2022 to January 27, 2023, at the farm barn of the undergraduate housing block F, North Indralaya subdistrict, Ogan Ilir Regency. In this study using 12 goats, namely 6 peanut goats 6 PE goats aged 9 months to 1 year using the paired T test method, designed to compare blood glucose and urea levels in goats experiencing an increase in normal cage temperature using 2 treatments 2 levels of normal cage temperature (25 ℃ - 33 ℃) and heat (26 ℃ - 39 ℃) and using 12 repetitions for 2 periods. The results of the data from the treatment in this study showed that there was no significant difference in blood glucose and urea levels in pea goats and PE goats
