Abstract

At adolescence, students have prepared the goals they will choose for the future. When students make career decisions, of course they must have self-efficacy or individual self-confidence in their ability to plan the career decisions that have been determined. This research aims to determine the relationship between self- efficacy and career decision making in class XII students at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. This research is quantitative research with a correlational method with a sample of 86 students from a population of 595 taken using proportional random sampling techniques. This research instrument uses a scale of self-efficacy and career decision making in the form of a Likert scale obtained through distributing the instrument. Data analysis in this study used Spearmen's Correlation. The results of data analysis show that class XII students at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang have a Self-Efficacy level of 78%, namely in the "Medium" category and Career Decision making 77%, which is in the "Medium" category and produces 0.17 as the Spearman rank correlation value which shows that there is a very weak and unidirectional relationship between self-efficacy and career decision making.
